Our Design Approach

Integrated Design
We knock down walls, tear down houses, dig trenches, and pick couch and paint colors, all in one office. In our practice, we believe there is no line between architecture, interior design and landscape/site design.  Many of our projects morphed from one type to the other during the process.  Our design and construction experiences in the above three areas give us the unique edge to deliver a home with comfort, performance and appealing aesthetics. 

Contextual Modern
Modernists at heart, we emphasize flow and use of natural light.   At the same time, we are sensitive to the character of the surrounding of the project.  Our goal is to create modern living with respect to its setting and architectural context.

Individualized Collaborative
Our design process is individualized and collaborative.  We respect the lifestyle and vision of each individual family. Detail oriented, we help clients with comprehensive planning during design and construction process.  We believe that with thorough and careful planning, every project can be done on time and on budget.

About Ying
I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design. I am an AIA member, NCARB member, and registered architect in New York and New Jersey. I am blessed to have traveled around the world and worked with some of the world’s most talented architects.  My love for on-site building experience brought me to residential practice close to home. Since 2010,  my team and I  have completed over 30 residential projects in New Jersey and New York.
